SnuggleAutoMsg
Friendly tips and reminders posted in chat every few minutes, on every server.
- Version
- 1.0.0
- Runs on
- Velocity proxy (whole network)
- Needs
- SnuggleAutoMsgReceiver (on each Paper server)
Every few minutes a short tip or reminder shows up in chat, starting with a pink and blue SnuggleSMP tag. The same message goes out on every server at once, so everyone sees it no matter where they are.
What you'll see
Messages are things like where to get help, reminders to be kind and ask before you interact, and pointers to things worth checking out. By default one is posted every 5 minutes, picked at random, and the same one won't come up twice in a row.
Servers with nobody on them are skipped.
For staff
There are no commands. Everything is set in the proxy's config.yml:
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
enabled |
Turns the messages on or off. | true |
interval_seconds |
Time between messages. Anything under 15 counts as 15. | 300 |
mode |
random or sequential (in order, then start again). |
random |
prefix |
Text put in front of every message. | SnuggleSMP tag |
only_to_servers_with_players |
Skip empty servers. | true |
messages |
The list of messages. | three starter tips |
Messages and the prefix use MiniMessage formatting, like <aqua>/help</aqua>. Config changes need a proxy restart.
Each Paper server needs the small SnuggleAutoMsgReceiver plugin installed. The proxy picks the message and the receiver shows it to the players on that server.
