PrayerSync

PrayerSync connects the server to the community prayer wall at prayer.snugglesmp.com. Every prayer on the wall, whether it was written on the website or in-game, ends up in a written book called the Pamp Book.

Reading the Pamp Book

• Type /pampbook and the book appears in your inventory. If your inventory is full, it drops at your feet and only you can pick it up.
• Each prayer starts on a new page with its number and author, like #12 — Name. The oldest prayers come first.
• A book can hold 100 pages. When there are more prayers than that, they spill over into Vol. 2, Vol. 3 and so on. /pampbook gives you all of them, and /pampbook vol2 gives you just one.
• The server hands out at most 5 volumes. If the prayers need more than that, the oldest ones are left out, and Vol. 1 starts with a note pointing you to the website to read them all.

Books keep themselves up to date

You don't need a new book when new prayers are added. A Pamp Book refreshes with the latest prayers when you:

• right-click with it in your hand
• open it on a lectern
• log in with it in your inventory

The server checks the website for new prayers every 2 minutes. Prayers sent with /praysubmit show up right away.

Adding a prayer

Type /praysubmit followed by your prayer, for example /praysubmit Please let my wheat grow. It's posted to the wall under your Minecraft name and shows up on the website too.

When a new prayer arrives, everyone online sees a chat line with the author and the start of the prayer. Click [Read] to open the Pamp Book. If lots of prayers arrive at once, you get one summary line instead.

For staff

Settings live in config.yml: how many pages and volumes a book can have, how often to check the website, the book's title and author, and the announcement messages.

Books are recognized by their title and author, so changing book.title or book.author stops older books from updating.
